I used this recipe for homemade strawberry sauce on ice cream, on yogurt, and on more ice cream. If I had had a pound cake or a cheesecake available, I would have drenched those with this topping too. It is an easy to prepare sauce that ends with an incredible result: this multi-purpose recipe that highlights the strawberries.
In fact, I had made a purchase of Greek yogurt from a brand I don’t normally buy (good sale, I had to try it!). Well, I hated it–but the strawberry sauce saved it! I drizzled some on top of it and voila! it provided that little cup of yogurt with just the right amount of sweetness. I won’t buy that again but I am glad that I was able to salvage it in some way.

Keeping recipes simple is huge. I like easy to read instructions that are clearly broken down into each step. This strawberry sauce recipe does just that. It is oh so simple! No one has time to monkey around with complicated recipes in the summer. For those of us who frequently undergo those Indiana heat waves, there’s just no desire to deal with a lot of extra stuff either. This makes quite a bit of sauce. You will be able to use it for a few days after it is made. Then you will cry big alligator tears when it is gone until you realize that this strawberry sauce recipe is so quick (and kind of fun) to make that you can do it all over again! I found this recipe on Food.com.
